Satellite Internet

Nunn Telephone Company customers can access Exede satellite internet service with FREE* installation.

Exede/ViaSat purchased WildBlue and launched a new satellite that delivers 12Mb internet service.  Nunn Telephone Company offers this Exede satellite internet service. Exede’s satellite Internet service is a 12Mb data transfer rate.

Exede Satellite Internet is a great option for connecting to the world in areas where traditional landline services like FTTH, Copper based DSL, and Cable Modems, are not available. Many of our current customers are in Thompson Canyon, Poudre Canyon, remote forested areas, and rural foothill communities, canyons, remote regions, and mountainous regions. Exede Satellite can typically be deployed in areas that lack other Internet options.

*No installation charge applies to initial installation.

The data usage is measured on a monthly basis and resets to zero on the same day each month.  Starting on the first day of your monthly measurement period, all of your uploaded and downloaded data transmitted using your Exede/ViaSat account counts toward your data allowance.

Customers can also use this time to upload photo galleries, blog postings, videos, and perform online backups.  The meter doesn’t run during this time period so your late-night usage doesn’t count towards your monthly data allowance.  Speeds are also restored every night, so even if you’ve used your monthly allowance, you can still use the Late Night Free Zone at normal speeds.

Liberty High Speed Internet Plans

Access high speed internet in your area with Exede Liberty Plans. Liberty plans are a flexible and fast way to get high speed internet, starting with a set amount of Priority Data with download speeds of 12 Mbps. What’s great about Liberty is that, even if you go over your monthly data allowance, you can continue to use more data, typically at download speeds of up to 1 to 5 Mbps during the daytime.

How does Liberty work?

Pick your data package based on your anticipated monthly usage. When you’re using your Priority Data, you’ll get download speeds of 12 Mbps. If you use up all of your Priority Data, you can keep using the internet, but your speeds will be slower.

What is Priority Data?

Every Exede plan comes with a set amount of fast Priority Data at a speed of 12 Mbps. This Priority Data is always used first, and resets every month on your billing date.

What happens if I use up my Priority Data?

If you use up your Priority Data, you can continue using the internet at slower speeds. During the day, these reduced speeds will be pretty good – up to 1 to 5 Mbps. During evening hours – after 5 p.m. — your speeds will be slower than the daytime Liberty Pass speeds, possibly below 1 Mbps at times.

Is a Liberty plan right for me?

If you mostly use the internet during the daytime, Liberty may be a good fit for you. But if you plan to use a lot of data in the evenings, Liberty may not give you the best experience.

During evening hours when the Exede network is busiest – roughly 5 p.m. until 2 a.m. – service will be a good deal slower.

However, for about 15 hours a day – roughly from 2 a.m. until 5 p.m. – your speeds should be pretty good, even if you’ve used up your Priority Data.

Can I get more Priority Data?

You always have the option to buy more Priority Data for faster speeds. You can also upgrade to a plan that includes more Priority Data. You will not incur any change fees for upgrading your plan.

Is there a Free Zone on the Liberty plans?

There is a 3 to 6 a.m. Free Zone on Liberty 12, 25 and 50 plans.
